By accessing or using MeridianVocari ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation (e.g., a school or university), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Description of Service

MeridianVocari provides AI-powered career guidance tools, including the Life Compass assessment, resume building, cover letter generation, interview preparation, job tracking, and career development features. The Service is available in free and paid tiers.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information and update it as needed.

4. Nature of AI-Generated Content

MeridianVocari provides guidance, not professional advice. Our AI-generated outputs — including Dharma Statements, career matches, resume content, and interview feedback — are informational tools designed to support your career exploration. They are:

You should use our outputs as one input among many when making career decisions. We strongly recommend consulting with qualified career professionals, especially for major life decisions.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5a. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with MeridianVocari Pro within 14 days of your first payment, contact us at [email protected] and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked.

After the 14-day window, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If your payment fails and your account is downgraded, you will not be charged for the period during which access was unavailable. Institutional (school and university) subscriptions are subject to separate refund terms agreed at the time of purchase.

For EU/UK consumers, you have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days under the Consumer Rights Directive and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By accessing premium features immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that the service has begun and your right of withdrawal may be limited to a pro-rata refund for unused days.

6. Institutional Accounts

Schools, universities, and other institutions may purchase bulk access for their students and staff. The institution's administrator is responsible for managing user access and ensuring compliance with these terms. Student data accessed through institutional accounts is subject to our Privacy Policy and any data processing agreement in place with the institution.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you create using the Service (resumes, cover letters, assessment responses). You grant us a limited licence to process this content solely to provide the Service.

Our content: The Service, including its design, code, AI models, assessment frameworks, and branding, is owned by MeridianVocari and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform or its components.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service.
Share your account credentials with others.
Submit false, misleading, or harmful content.
Interfere with the Service's operation or security.
Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeridianVocari shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (liability, intellectual property, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state in which MeridianVocari is established. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your country of residence.
